The Grey Catbird is a sweet bird. I don't think I have ever seen another bird with such a gentle disposition. They eat bugs and sometimes fruit, especially the cherries on my tree, grape jelly that I put out for the Orioles and are especially fond of suet. They get their name from the sound they make, which doesn't sound like a cat, but more like a 2 day old kitten, very soft and low, a "mew" sound. This is one of the birds that keeps the bugs and mosquitos out of my yard. Enjoy.
